Krakow Balice Airport (KRK): Approximate driving time to Hotel Spatz is 30 minutes and distance is 11 kilometres (7 miles).
Getting there: The airport features its own train station, 200 metres from the terminal. Trains run every 30 minutes to Dworzec Glowny station from 4 AM to midnight. Tickets are bought on board; a single journey costs around PLN 4. Two bus services connect the airport to Krakow city centre. Services depart every 15–25 minutes and cost PLN 3. Pieces of large luggage require separate tickets and all tickets should be validated before boarding. Taxis are available at the airport and and cost around PLN 77 to central Krakow. All prices are subject to change.
Getting around: Krakow is served by an efficient public transport system comprising buses, trams, horse-drawn carriages, rickshaws and electric carts. Much of the city centre is pedestrianised. One-day travel passes cost PLN 10, while a single ticket is PLN 2.50. Taxis are readily available throughout the city.
