Getting there: Train services run from the airport train station to Krakow Dworzec Glowny train station. The airport station is 200 metres from the terminal, and can be reached by a free shuttle bus service. Trains run every 30 minutes between 4 AM and midnight. The journey takes around 15 minutes and a single fare is approximately €1 (PLN 4). Tickets can be purchased on board. Two bus services run from the airport to the city centre every 15–25 minutes. Line 208 goes to Nowy Kleparz (downtown), and Line 192 runs to Krakow Glowny train station. The fare is less than €1 and tickets must be validated before boarding. Separate tickets should also be purchased for each large piece of luggage. Krakow Glowny train station is 500 metres from the hotel. Taxis are available outside the terminal and typically cost €20 (PLN 77) to the city centre. All prices are subject to change.
Getting around: Much of Kraków’s historic city centre is pedestrianised, except for horse-drawn carriages, electric carts and rickshaws. Trams and buses traverse the rest of the city. Single tickets cost less than €1 (PLN 2.50) for adults, and all journeys, irrespective of distance, are the same price. Twenty-four-hour unlimited travel passes can also be purchased for €2.50 (PLN 10). Taxis are abundant and relatively inexpensive.
